On the road by 0740, but not the best of conditions. For the first hour we were traveling in fog / mist / drizzle. The sun finally burnt through once we had crossed into Texas and there was a dramatic change in scenery from the day before. The land was much greener, and for the first hour or so there were “typical” Texas ranches along the interstate; large houses and large stone gateways into them.
As we got about 40 miles north of Dallas we hit the suburbs and the traffic built even though it was Saturday. The built up areas and traffic stayed with us for the rest of the day, making for a tiring drive, maybe Arkansas wasn’t so bad afterall. At least the truck is pretty comfortable, this was our 4th 10 hour day in it, and we still aren’t sore!
Good news is that tomorrow is a 5 hour day, then we get to stay put for 30 days.
