We’re here!

After a super early start for us, on the road by 7:10 AM (I have factored in the time zone change that would occur two hours later into this time!!) we headed out through some fairly serious fog for a while. It finally cleared a couple of hours later as we went through the outskirts of Chattanooga. The rest of the trip was in sunshine and ever climbing temperatures. We went from 7ºC in the fog up to 27ºC later on.

The roads were pretty clear with no serious slowdowns so we averaged just under 70 MPH for the whole trip.

We arrived about 3PM and found out that the trailer had been placed on one of the edge sites, so no one behind us, just a large grass field. Hopefully the field belongs to the resort, and I can do some radio control helicopter flying there.

While Lyn sorted out the inside of the trailer I set about getting the hydro, water and sewer connected, then it was off for the “big shop” to stock up on supplies.

Back at the trailer it was time to set up the electronics, I got everything working except the satellite TV as I couldn’t be bothered to set the antenna up! Everything else was thrown together, as one of the jobs on this trip is to organise an electronics cupboard.

Below is a before picture, hopefully there will be an after picture in a few days.
